BEE REMOVALS
It’s not unusual for bees to nest on residential or commercial properties, and their sudden arrival may cause alarm. Swarms move at certain times of the year and often find new homes in unwanted locations like hollow trees, pool pump covers, waste bins, roofs and wall cavities. BeeGone specialises in non-invasive swarm removals to keep bee colonies and your property intact.
Bees play a vital role in food production, and we need to play our part too.

BeeGone believes in relocation over extermination, so we use non-toxic agents that encourage the swarm to leave the nesting site. The bees generally gather around their queen and form a ball that we scoop into a hive. The swarm is then relocated to one of our apiaries in the Western Cape.
WASP REMOVALS
Wasps usually build nests underneath structures that are sheltered from the wind and rain. The invasive species we find in Cape Town breed quickly and can become a problem if left unchecked. They are highly territorial, and will attack if provoked, so extermination is best left to a professional. BeeGone will remove the nest and sanitise the nest site to ensure that any returning wasps are deterred from rebuilding their homes.
In most cases, the wasps that inhabit urban areas are not endemic to South Africa and will cause harm to local bee colonies. We find that the best practice to protect bees and humans is to eradicate all wasps in the area. To assist us in providing a thorough service, we suggest that property owners try to identify all nesting sites before we arrive.
